And On Arriving is made of long atmoshperic pieces that once suggest the sonic map of future travels. Like Retrograde Motion, this recording also features long passages based on the repetition of several looping phrases, this time proccessed heavily before their return. The result is a sound that is both familiar and contemplative while sublty changing and revealing new terrain along the way.
